I held out for as long as possible. I said I wasn’t going there anytime soon. But I did. I signed up for a personal Twitter account. I wasn’t even kicking or screaming. I decided if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!

Social Media is the way of the world whether we like it or not. Since I’m not getting any younger at the age of 48, I decided it was high time I not get left hopelessly behind. If I want to keep up with the current trends of sales and marketing, I have to learn how to use the new tools.

In addition to my responsibilities as a Sales Associate and Buyer for Todd & Moore, I can now add Social Media Administrator to the list. I am learning that Social Media is progressive, aggressive, and changes quickly. As a friend said, “Twitter is Facebook on steroids!” I am literally on information overload from several days of research and tutorials. But I must admit, it is fun and exciting.

Facebook and Twitter are two types of Social Media that we are utilizing to regularly communicate and connect with our Todd & Moore customers in ways that our founders would have never imagined. We can instantly send a photo of new merchandise to Facebook and Twitter in a matter of seconds. There is no waiting for print advertising to promote new products or offer coupons.

While we are slowly and carefully joining the social media world, rest assured that one thing will never change at Todd & Moore. That one thing is our commitment to our customers. We remain committed to bringing you the BEST customer service, product knowledge, and prices in the Midlands. We will never rely on Social Media to do the job for us. It is just a tool to relay information and to make you smile.
