Shop Small Every Day of the Year...

Saturday, November 26th marks the 2nd annual Small Business Saturday where folks are encouraged to shop small at locally owned and operated businesses. The Small Business Saturday website says “When we all shop small, it will be huge.” This event is wedged between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, two of the largest retail shopping days of the year. I love the concept and think it’s a great promotion.

What I’d really love to see is “shopping small” promoted all year long. Just imagine how huge that would be. I often write about and encourage shopping small (supporting independent merchants) because Todd & Moore falls into this category. We are not part of a national chain that sends it profits out of state to corporate headquarters. Our headquarters are located at 620 Huger Street in the heart of the downtown Vista shopping district. Our profits stay in and recirculate throughout our community.

We are not a self-serve retail outlet. We have a sales staff with well over 1000 years of sporting goods experience. We know our products and what we don’t stock or know about, we’ll make every effort to research and acquire. We go above and beyond to help meet the needs of our customers because we genuinely care about them.

While we are a small business, we have a huge heart. We support our community every single day of the week by making charitable donations to local non-profits. We all live, work, and play in the Midlands and feel strongly that we are responsible for helping to make it the BEST community to live in by giving back.

Along with being a small business, we are unique and special. We serve coffee all day long, we hold your babies while you try on apparel, and if you time it just right, you might be in the store on one of our famous food days! We make every effort to know you by name and remember what your interests are. We’ll even put you on our call list when new merchandise comes in.

We may be small, but in my opinion, we are HUGE when it comes to selection, savings, and a supportive staff. Keep us in mind every day of the year.
