Just Say Boo At Halloween

I love that the temperatures are growing cooler and that Halloween is just weeks away. My family loves Halloween. Actually my family loves candy. And Halloween equals candy and lots of it! We love seeing all the trick or treaters in our neighborhood dressed up in their costumes. My favorite costumes are not the pre-packaged ones found at Halloween costume shops or big box retailers. The very best ones are the costumes put together with creativity and a little help from your local sporting goods store.

Over the years I’ve helped many a customer put together their Halloween costume at Todd & Moore. You heard that right, Halloween costume. You probably didn’t know we carried Halloween costumes. Our costumes are not like the ones you find at most retailers. Our costumes are not one size fits most, cheaply made, or over-priced. Our costumes are made with quality athletic apparel and equipment, available in many sizes and price points, and most serve a dual purpose as Halloween costumes and team uniforms or workout apparel.

Many customers dress up as cheerleaders, football, baseball, or basketball players, Carolina or Clemson fanatics, roller derby queens, Richard Simmons look-a-likes, Jason from the movie Halloween, or as any and every thing you can think of that requires Russell Athletic sweats to cover their bodies. Some customers come in the week leading up to Halloween in a pretty frantic state trying to come up with the perfect costume for a party or contest. Folks around Columbia take dressing up for Halloween very seriously!

It’s really fun to help a mom or dad pick out all that is needed for their child to be a Carolina or Clemson football player or cheerleader. We carry real football equipment and apparel that can be passed along to younger siblings and resells well on consignment. We also carry the Franklin replica sets in Clemson, Carolina, and several NFL teams that are great for Halloween and dress up all year long. For the cheerleaders we sell Clemson and Carolina cheer uniforms, hair ribbons, face tattoos, and pom poms. It doesn’t get any cuter than a mini-Carolina or Clemson cheerleader ringing your doorbell.
