I am thankful for...

As 2011 quickly comes to an end, I’ll be completing my 22nd year of employment with Todd & Moore. I was first hired during my junior year at USC and worked for the company for 8 years. I returned in 1997 and have been here ever since.

I am extremely thankful to work for a locally owned and operated company. The owners and management of Todd & Moore work in the same building right alongside me and my co-workers. Almost all of our full-time employees have worked here for over 20 years. That says a lot about our company and the family environment we work in.

I am thankful that I enjoy what I do at Todd & Moore. When you work for a small, independent business, you very often wear many hats and do whatever needs to be done to help make the business successful. I love that about my job because it never gets old and with retail, every day is a new adventure.

I am thankful for my co-workers. We have become like family over the many years we have worked together and just like real family we agree to disagree, we fight, we make-up, we laugh, and we cry together. We take care of one another.

I am thankful for our customers. We have great customers who love sports and anything remotely related. I get to help to them pick out equipment, apparel, shoes, and accessories for their chosen sport or fitness activity. I get to talk running, exercising, and sports all day long. I get to see and meet new people every day and many of them have become good friends.

I am thankful that Todd & Moore is in a college town and that we are located just minutes from the beautiful University of South Carolina campus. USC fans are the most loyal in the world. They love their Gamecocks and they love to wear their college colors!

I have so much to be thankful for this holiday season. Won’t you join me in giving thanks?
