The Customer is always right...

I have worked in retail sales for most of my adulthood. Working with the public is an interesting and often challenging line of work. I get to meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I get to help them pick out apparel, equipment, accessories, and shoes for whatever activity they are participating in. I get to help them shop for the perfect gift for a loved one, co-worker, or for a child they’ve drawn from the Angel Tree at Christmas time. Many times it will be for a first pair of running shoes, a first baseball glove for a child, or a first Gamecock t-shirt or jersey for a newborn child. And sometimes it’s workout apparel for rehab following life-saving surgery.

Everyday is a new experience with customers that can be pressed for time because they are on their lunch break or running late for an appointment. Some are tired and grumpy from the heat, demanding jobs, or tight budgets. Some are conducting business on their cell phones while trying to shop and others are distracted by rowdy kids.

And just as many are full of energy and enthusiasm as they are beginning a fitness program for the first time or buying new apparel for their next race or match. While others are shopping for their team colors and are excited for opening day! Some are killing time between appointments and others are just looking.

We see and encounter it ALL in a day’s work. And we believe that the customer is always right…
1. The customer is always right to expect excellent customer service from us no matter what mood they enter our store in.

2. The customer is always right to expect the BEST selection and the BEST prices on name brand products in a clean and fully stocked store.

3. The customer is always right to let us know when they don’t receive #1 and #2!

Our goal is to always get it right. Sometimes we drop the ball, but more often than not we score big with our first-time and faithful customers!
