The Keith Family

He said it was his animal magnetism and rugged good looks. She said it was his sense of humor and that he was easy to talk to. And it all began at the Todd & Moore Christmas party in December of 1987.

Barry Keith began working for Todd & Moore in 1983 on a part-time basis at the former Columbia Mall location and Beth Bodie joined the staff at the former Dutch Square location in 1987. Having only talked on the phone for months, they first met in person at the staff Christmas party and Barry was immediately smitten. Beth left the next day to go home to Florida for Christmas break and upon arrival received a dozen roses from Barry.

Barry knew the night he met Beth that she was the one for him, but they both agree it took some convincing on his part!

Their first real date was a group date that included current Todd & Moore manager, Rod Wolff and his girlfriend (now wife) and a few others. They all played in the snow and went to Yesterday’s in Five Points.

After dating for almost a year, Barry proposed one night just prior to USC’s homecoming pep rally in 1988. Beth remembers gazing at her engagement ring during the entire celebration.

Beth and Barry were married in Tallahassee, Florida on April 8, 1989 with co-workers Rod Wolff and O’Neil Court manager, Mike Tyler as groomsmen. Although naysayers Rod and Mike gave the union a year, Barry and Beth have been happily married for 22 years!

Beth has worked for Bank of America since 1989. Barry works as a real estate agent with Twitty Realty and as an insurance agent for The Assurance Group. They have two great kids, Tanner, 17, a senior at Lexington High School and Chandler, 14, a sophomore at Lexington High School. Both Barry and Beth enjoy playing tennis and staying fit.

Both remember their days at Todd & Moore to be fun and eventful, especially Barry. He saw his life flash before his eyes after teasing a female co-worker who played softball that girls can’t throw harder than boys. After falling on his rear-end after catching a ball that she hurled at him, he never picked on her again. Barry doesn’t remember the infamous 12 hour sales with fondness. He boldly states, “I HATED THOSE THINGS!”

Beth and Barry completely agree that one of the most special things about working at Todd & Moore is the friendships that were made. They have maintained close friendships with many of their former Todd & Moore co-workers and remain loyal and faithful customers.

At Todd & Moore, we not only promote health and fitness, but happy unions!

Keeping it all in the family,
Beth
